Chicken in White Wine
This one is a nice discovery. Our children have always enjoyed chicken on its own. They like the fact that they can eat it with their hands, but the taste was never their favorite. However, with this recipe, we found a good way to improve that, as the wine keeps the flesh tender and full of flavour:
Ingredients
2 chicken legs
5 cherry tomatoes
150 ml white wine
2 garlic cloves
fresh sage & basilic
capers
1- Clean and dry (with a paper towel) the chicken legs and introduce the sage leaves between the skin and the meat. Fry the chicken until golden in a hot pan with a bit of oil or butter.
2- Still in the pan, add the tomatoes, the capers, and the garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes.
3 - In an oven plate, place the chicken legs, deglacer with the wine and then pour the contents of the pan in the oven plate. Add some lemon slices over the chicken and put the plate in the oven at 200ºC for 30-40 min.
Remove the plate from the oven, add basilic leaves over the chicken to give them some extra flavor and bring to the table.
Serve with rice or salad and a chilled glass of white wine.
